	Reserves Program Reserve Deputy Sheriffs are utilized to supplement the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's law enforcement manpower. Like the Full-time Deputies, Reserve Deputies are professionally trained and duly sworn law enforcement personnel.

	Explorer Program Provide through actual experience a means by which young men and women may determine if they would like to pursue a career in law enforcement.

	Mounted Programs - Equestrian Patrol Mounted Enforcement Detail, Mounted Search and Rescue, and Reserve Mounted Posse are among the equestrian programs of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

	Search and Rescue - The Highlands Provides services to those citizens who become stranded, lost, or injured in the mountainous areas of Los Angles County.
